Maintenance
Remove and ‘flip’ the 1” Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO) filter unit every six months to extend the life of the special PCO felt.

Replacement
To access the lamps, filter and PCO felt, open the side of the unit with the round viewport and logo. This access panel hinges at the top and swings open from the bottom. When you open the unit, a safety switch will deactivate the lamps. If the lamps do not deactivate, immediatly close the access panel and contact Lumalier at 1-800-774-5799.

Once the access panel is open, slide out the components starting with the 1" PCO felt at the top. Next, slide out the two(2) lamps and their housing unit. Finally, slide the MERV 11 filter out.

  • To replace the PCO felt, simply slide in the replacement felt and dispose of the used one.
  • To replace the MERV 11 filter, simply slide in the replacement filter, place the used filter in an air-tight bag and dispose of properly.
  • To replace the two(2) lamps:
    • Do not dispose of the housing unit.
    • Lay the housing unit flat on the ground.
    • Hold the bulb near the middle and tilt it at a 45 degree angle to disengage the locking mechanism. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PULL THE BULB STRAIGHT OUT OF ITS HOUSING. The locking mechanism will not disengage unless you tilt the bulb at a 45 degree angle.
    • To install a new bulb, tilt the new bulb 45 degrees and line up the 4 prongs on the bulb with the 4 holes in the base. Now simply rotate the bulb until it is level with the housing unit and you hear a loud click.
