Tru-D Rapid Room Disinfection & other portable systems

  • Lamps should be cleaned when they show visible signs of dust. A Clean UV lamp is crystal clear. Clean the UV lamps with a soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol. clear. Because Tru-D measures real time reflected UV dose disinfection time may be slighty longer with a dirty lamp than a cleaned lamp.
  • Lamp should be changed at 9000 hours use as indicated on the remote controls hour meter.
  • Annual Service and Maintenance agreements include a set of replacement UV Lamps

In-Duct Airstream Disinfection & HVAC Component (Coil) Disinfection System

  • Typically lamps are left to operate 24-7 365 days per year. Lamps should be cleaned every 6 months and replaced annually
  • Systems equipped with Photocatalyic (PCO) lamp grids require cleaning of the grid annually, the PCO grid may be cleaned with soap and water or placed in a dishwasher

Upper Air UV Systems

  • Typically lamps are left to operate 24-7 365 days per year. Lamps should be cleaned every 6 months and replaced annually

IAQ-1 Air Disinfection Systems

  • Replace the 5” Pleated Dust Filter every 6 months, very dusty environments may require more frequent filter replacement.
  • Clean UV lamps bi-annually and replace annually
  • PCO Quartzel panels should be replaced annually

Competitor Claims of 2 and 3 year – 18000 to 27000 lamp life:

All UV-C lamps begin depreciating in UV output over time, though they will continue to operate for extended periods. At 9000 hours use the Lumalier/Philips lamp will not have depreciated more than 20% and this depreciation is calculated into the initial design of Lumalier equipment for peak efficiency throughout the suggested 9000 hour life of the lamp. Competitors claiming longer lamp life allow for extreme depreciation greatly reducing the effectiveness of the system.
